I have finally decided to do it. I always wait about a year after an OS is released to actually implement it. One exception may be Windows ME. I took that retooled P.O.S. and chucked it out of the door as soon as I saw it.
Goodbye trusty XP. I will keep Vista on my media center box, as runs like a champ. Two years passed without incident with Vista. I am building a test 64 bit system for my particular version before I make a permanent switch. And as I see only minimal rootkit traces- I shall be saving a windows XP OS disc for backup, and perhaps nostalgia...
